Default A few problems I need help with...

Hey, guys. (Experts; listen up!) I need your help.

I have a 94 Civic DX Sedan with a swapped D16Z6. Still has the original tranny and everything. I've only had this car for a couple of months, and I've done nothing to the motor. I've only tried to make it look pretty with red trimming, and projector headlights and that kind of shit. All of these problems were there when I acquired the car.

I've taken pictures of all the issues I'd like to address, because I am well-aware of the fact that a picture is worth a thousand words.

Problem #1: "OMG No VTAK???"
-If I'm not Mistaken, THIS is the VTEC Solenoid, no? Isn't there a wire that's supposed to be connected to it?

-I've noticed this loose cable. Could this be the culprit? It seems much too short to be bridged to the VTEC solenoid.

What do I do??

Problem #2: "OMG No SPEEDO?!"
Yeah, uhh... When I got the car, the guy told me that the speedometer wasn't working. I've had this problem before, but it was because of a faulty Vehicle Speed Sensor. And a VSS could easily be obtained. In THIS case, however... It is the Cable that is falty. As you can see, here is the VSS, with no cable plugged in:

And HERE are the loose/damaged wires that are supposed to connect to the VSS.

I've gone to a couple of junk yards looking for Civics, but every time I go, I have bad luck, 'cause the motors are already gone (It's probably for good reason, 'cause I was never planning on paying for the little cable anyway. I was planning on performing a "toolbox discount"). Anywho... I've also tried Advanced Discount Autoparts and Autozone. They sell the VSS, but not the cable. Where can I acquire the cable?

Problem #3: "OMG no A/C!!"
Yes, I do have A/C. It used to be amazing, but over time it was getting progressively worse and worse. I used to have a leak under the glove compartment, but I fixed that. It seemed that my A/C got worse after I fixed the leak. I popped my hood once to address another issue with the Cold Air Intake, and I saw this:

Looks fine, right??
...
WRONG!

The Cone filter is eating away at the AC pipes! I've tried messing around with the rubber mount, but no matter what I do, it drops down eventually. The mount is doing a great job of mounting the Intake tube to the manifold, but it isn't supporting the cone filter at all. The weight of the filter is supported by the Insulated A/C Pipe, which isn't going to be insulated for much longer. What do I do?
