The coupe came in for some work yesterday. The goal was to modify the charge piping to accept the new traction bar. What seemed like a simple fix turned into a major PITA
Here are some before pics of the routing and how it was run:
After some measurements and some thinking we decided to start with cutting the turbo housing
Then we welded a 90deg mandrel bend and reinstalled the housing.
We HOPED we would have been able to clear the original oil drain but unfortunitly the elbow pointed directly at it. So the now modded housing now required the oil drain to be changed.
After the drain was relocated it was on to the charge piping...
Now the traction bars could be installed and the dumptube fabbed and routed for exhaust evacuation
The dumptube material was sourced from a previous setup.
InsaneCivicCoupe returned to finish his 4" exhaust. From the shift linkage back was done in aluminum for weight savings. Here is how the car came in.
