I've been to the track a couple of times but always with street tires. I'm thinking about buying a set of slicks but I don't want to embarrase myself or worse break anything. So I'm asking what is the correct way to heat your tires. Should you do it in the water box or just drive through the water and do it on the pavement in front. The reason I ask is because I saw both methods.
