Strip it yourself, then bring it to a shop. It'll be a whole helluva lot cheaper. Any asshole can strip paint, take off trim, and if you really wanna be baller, remove the windshields. You're paying a skilled professional lots of money for their time spent doing work that some two-bit tire scrubber could do, otherwise.
I agree with you to an extent, im all for a DIYer its how i got started, but i have seen some major fuck ups, broken trim, windows, you name it. I dont think everyone has the patience and skill to do these things, and usually the R and I's are not where the money is, its the repair and prep times.
