The term reclineable race seat is an oxymoron. Reclineable seats by race seat manufacturers are for posing and cruising. Fixed back with roll bar says you're not going anywhere if, for some reason, you get rear ended at some retarded speed (like in the video). First off, that test is retarded harsh. Instant acceleration to 80kph is dozens, maybe hundreds of G's. Plus, the driver and seat shouldn't see that much in a resonable crash because of crumple zones and other chassis deformation. That test is probably what would happen if you backed into a brick wall at 90mph. I'm pretty sure you're fucked no matter what seat you're in. Just so you all know, those seats are engineered to fail like that in case of a rollover. With the roof getting bashed in, you certainly don't want to the seat forcing you upright under the weight of the car. That's also why when you have a fixed back seat, you're really supposed to have a roll bar.
I'm hatin on everyone!
