I had an idea to do a rear mount turbo over the axle on my 96 GT at one point. I had measured it out and there is enough room under there. With a rear mount you can get away with a smaller intercooler because of the air traveling over the plumbing under the car cools the intake charge before it ever hits the intercooler. The spool up and boost time get a little lagged,.. but can still make some decent power and clears up room under the hood and done have to buy special manifolds. I found it was cheaper to build a rear mount then to do it under the hood after pricing it out. I ended up trading the car so never got around to that project.
Looks good so far.
