........and it started with Silvia's Auto Cafe held at, and sponsored by Doug Turner and Vortex Motorsports across Hillsborough Avenue from the
Tampa International Airport. You can catch Silvia's other thread in the local events forum to see the pictures and count the cars yourself.
Following the lunch prepared by Doug, we scattered to other places, but before I could do that I pulled over in a shady spot to examine my engine for a possible fuel leak near the fuel filter/pressure gauge. I had noticed some moisture in that area when I opened my hood at Auto Cafe...........
Turned out to be nothing........I was getting ready to re-route the fuel lines anyway, and maybe carrying my tube bending tools brought me good luck.

I met up with PrimoGen and some of the S2K folks at Cracker Barrel/exit 301 for a caravan to JJC Autowerks open house in Ocala. The S2k's are
a great bunch of people. We gassed up at the Shell station and not one of them did a burnout when we headed to I-75.
I followed the camera car up the interstate, 1. So I could avoid
any video evidence that could be used against me later in court,
and 2. so I could drop back periodically to keep an eye on a modified
S2k that was running a little too warm and driving slow.
--------------------------------------------
At JJC Autowerks, the S2k folks went to work on the overheating car
and people started driving in. JJC does a lot of custom projects, and
a variety of domestics and imports showed up for their open house.
CBurke and the AEG crew was selling $2 burgers next to the DJ, and I got down to my last jug of Gatorade. When those 2 guys started beating on each other, they were separated pretty quick, but what's an import meet
without at least one appearance by the cops?

Heading South to catch the Open show at Wiregrass/Wesley Chapel/New Tampa, the sky had been getting dark and it looked like rain. I had the NACA "Ram-Air Conditioning" ducts in the d-side rear window, and the breeze felt good at the speeds I was going. It started raining.
I could either pull over to keep water mist from coming in, or leave the ducts up and enjoy the water-cooled blast onto the back of my neck.
It had been in the 90's at JJC.......Was that an easy choice.......
They presented trophies around 9PM and a list of TR names/cars that I recognized are posted in another thread.
Anyone else can add your own experiences here if you attended
these events.....and have any confessions...
