hey tr i know this technically isnt the correct forum to post this in butim not having any luck in the right one. so here is my situation.
first, its about a 2000 jeep grand cherokee, i blew the radiator on the interstate, as i was pulling over the car died. i had it towed back to my house and replaced the radiator. it still wouldnt start. when i tried to turn it over it would turn once real slow like the battery was dieing so i put a new battery in it from my 250 and it did the same thing. so then i thought it might be the starter and i called a couple people to confirm but they said i was compressing water (blown head gasket) so i tore the motor apart and changed that. still doin the same thing when i tried to turn it over.

next took the starter out and had it checked....it was bad....installed a new one.
now this is the part that confuses me, now when i turn it over it starts but when it does the rpms climb and tach out in about a second, like the throttle is stuck wide open. i took the air assembly off to see if that was the problem :negetive: and there is also smoke coming from the vacuum line coming out of the valve cover.
so i guess my question would be if this was a honda what would you check first? thanks for any help sorry about the long description.
