Gas tank could be shot along with fuel pump by then if there was no gas in the tank...the only way to keep those from going bad is to store it with a TOPPED off tank. Hoses could be very brittle back by the fuel tank too. Check for smells like stated above and to see if the electrical system components still works (ie. headlights,turn signals, interior lights, dash lights, brake lights, running lights...anything electrical you can check...CHECK IT)
