Then they must have been totally blacked out, and ANY modification to your vehicle can affect the resale value for better or worse, just depends on what the next owner is looking for.
But I have compared both tinted and painted lights side by side, and the painted ones last longer and look a lot better, without crumples and bubbles and defects in the film.
But yes it is more perminate well it would have to be sanded down, and re cleared but i believe you can get the light back to normal with a little effort.
