I talked to my friends with the Datsun . They said the street was good the car was hooking. Then they lost control out of nowhere. An found antifreeze on the tires. This race was rigged.
They gave the civic 2 car lengths and were still flying by em..
Incase anyone cares this car has the same motor as my starlet Mitsubishi Starion/Conquest.
So from expierence I can say that if the car is going to lose control it will happen in 2nd Gear the LATEST since that's when all the power kicks in .
