It would depend on your gear ratio,.. 1/4 or 1/8 track,.. and if for the street or not.

If you plan to run full time on the street I would run Nitto or BFG drag radials.

If the wheels are strictly for track use then MT ET STREETS or ET DRAGS would be the way to go. You can run the ET STREETS on the street,.. but dont get caught in the rain with them. Might as well be driving on hot melted butter. Very dangerous.

Keep in mind that MT measures ET DRAGS and ET STREETS differently. 26x10 ET DRAGS are as wide as 26x12 ET STREETS. 26x10 are about the same as 275/50 DR's. And 28x10 would be the same as 275/60 DR's.

I had 27x10.5 ET STREETS with a 4.10 gear. I was trapping 110 in the 1/4 and spinning roughly 5800 - 6000 as I went through the traps. If I still had the same combo I would probably drop down to 26x10.5. The 27x10.5 came with the car. Was ackward in the 1/8 mile because I had to really tach out 3rd to almost 7000 if I didnt want to shift. That usually resulted in a lower MPH but better ET (8.20@86 mph) then if I shifted into 4th at 6200 (8.22@88 mph). The cam I had was rated 2500 - 6200 RPM. The shift into 4th was almost at the line. A 26" tire would have put 4th gear at a better RPM at the line for the 1/8.

If you run 275/60 or a 28x12 tire,.. expect to need some inner wheel well clearancing with a BFH if you havent done so already.

If your unsure I would just run a 26x10 ET STREET on them and try them at 15 psi and see how you do. The ET STREETS are much stickier then the drag radials. If you run them on the street,.. dont expect to get many miles out of them. I got roughly 6000 miles out of 275/40 R17 BFG drag radials on my 96 GT before they were completely toast. They do pretty good in the rain when they are new. But after about 4500 - 5000 miles they start to get greasy on wet roads.
