Go with a dedicated VTEC block as they have oil squirters for the pistons and will last longer under any circumstances. This includes the b16, b18c and b18c5. JMHO. Of course, there are always folks out there who have had boosted and n/a LSVTEC and CRVTEC motors last a long time. Build it once, build it right.
