chances are you need adjust the brakes and loosen them up. There probably is now a lip on the edge of the drum and the brake shoes are catching that lip and not letting it slide off easily.
I was thinking something like that.
There is two nuts on the backside that look like the mounthing bracket for the shoe.
Which one is the adjustment nut?
