My friend has a '94 750 Kawasaki (stage 1 jet kit, full Muffy exhaust, K & N filter). I asked him what I should get-he honestly thinks I should get a 1000..maybe 900 RR or 929 RR. He started his bike history about six months ago with an '03 or '04 Kawasaki 250 R Ninja. He told me it was a waste of time and he could get on his 750 right away. Like I said, I don't want to have a headache of selling my bike later to get something bigger. The bike would go as fast as you want it to, depending on a throttle position (that's what he always says).
I saw that '98 CBR 900 RR for $5500 at R & R Performance. Mint condition, brand new paint, 20 K miles. Polished frame, blue visor, chrome wheels, etc. The only problem is that bike is way too nice for me (I'm gonna put it down anyways, lol). Still trying to decide, but an R1 sounds really good to me.
I'm also going to go to MSF class (probably next week). Everyone I spoke to reccomended it to me so.
