Yeah I think design flaw in the g-wagen, I've heard of the problem with others too. It's almost always the 'power window regulator', no idea what that is or does but it doesn't seem to work too well. Seven of the eight times it's been the rear windows, so yes probably right on something getting rubbed in the smaller rear doors.
