With everyone and their mother out there installing suede headliners and such these days, I thought I would post up some pics on how the pros do it. Our head upholsterer is regarded as one of the leading "automotive trimmers" in Florida. When you see the work he puts out, you quickly understand why. No wrinkles, no gaps, no lumps, no NOTHING! Just sheer luxurious upholstery work everytime. The old headliner is ALWAYS stripped if the car has any age on it because the suede will only stay up for as long as whatever is under it-NO HALF ASSING!
We are going to start posting some more projects with befores and afters as requested. He does some wicked work on a daily basis and when you see his final results, you will quickly see what seperates MCOR from the rest. This is the kind of work that has the new car dealerships and our clientelle calling. ENJOY!
Client's luxurious Jaguar XJ8 Long Wheelbase edition. This car has custom 22's with painted inserts, and factory upgraded everything. He wanted to start by replacing the factory blah grey cloth headliner, pillars, and sunroof panel with suede. This is a very difficult car to get apart and back together. Not fun for the average shop-all in a days work for MCOR. This car was completed in under six hours from beginning to end (upholsterer even had time to get started on another one of our leather conversions after completion today!). This car is going to have a ton more work done as budget permits. In the next build steps, we will be installing exotic slate grey ostrich inserts in the seats, upgrading factory Alpine speakers to all JL Audio C2 components, JL amps, and a 12W7 in a custom hide-away box. We will continue to update this build log-this one is going to be FUN!
