23 stang we could run. I know of a cobalt that will be there and would be a better match for you.
Would have been a good run with the old setup. Car had some problems. Rear end was bone stock with a 4.10. The Traclok has worn clutches so anything over a 3000 rpm launch resulted in it breaking posi and just spinning 1 wheel. Funning thing is that it would do the burn out box in 3rd gear and spin both wheels just fine. So my best 60' was only a 1.9 feathering it out from a 2500 RPM launch,.. that was also my best pass,.. a 12.55@110. I could do 12.70's@110 launching off idle. The little 306 was making some pretty good power,.. especially when you consider its a full weight car. My race weight was probably more then your car weighs. I had the car weighed over at Pilot on their CAT scales. 3592lbs with me in the car and 3/4 tank of gas. With a full tank the car is over 3600lbs. Pretty damn heavy for a fox. But its not entirely the car's fault,.. you've met me. I weigh 328 lbs myself. I've been on a diet for the last 4 months,.. its hard because I like to eat. I've only lost 19 lbs,.. but working on it.
New setup will be a 392w with a single 80mm turbo. 8 - 10psi for the street and 18 - 22psi for the track. Car will be pretty much gutted except for 2 front seats, gauges and a 12 pt moly cage. My goal is to get race weight under 3200 with me in the car. Redoing the rear end with a 31 spline and spool. Going to initially try a 3.55 gear ratio,.. but I have a feeling I'm going to have to drop down to a 3.27. I dont want to spin it over 6500. I'm expecting the car to have trap speeds between 155 - 165 mph in the 1/4.
You wont stand a chance with the new setup,. no offense. At full tilt the motor should be making somewhere around 1000 at the wheels. Thats my best average using Engine Analyzer Pro. Not sure how well the car will put that power to the ground,.. I'm probably going to outsource the chassis and suspension work because thats a gray area for me.
Sadly,.. all I can do is talk about it right now. I've got a C9OE block that needs machine work. I've got a brand new 351 Vic Jr intake. You were there at Kelly's when I bought the TKO tranny. And the picture I showed you guys is how my poor car is sitting over in my father inlaws garage. I'm still unemployed and in school for 18 more months until I'm done. The car wont get touched until I get back to work after school. The good news is that the field I'm aiming for has starting salaries in the $80k - $100k a yr range. My wife makes $58k a year,.. so between the 2 of us I should be able to afford some long awaited goodies for my car. But still almost 2 yrs away until it happens. So all I can do is dream about it right now.
Also Ruler,.. momma is not going to let me race the Tibby. She knows me and I'll destroy whats left of the clutch trying my best to at least keep up with you. So its a no go. But I still have my Silverado. Its bone stock,.. but I should be able to make some low 16 second 1/4 mile et's. I'll line up and do some fun races if you want. Probably only going to run high 9's to mid 10's in the 1/8 mile. Its rated 295 hp at the flywheel. Has a 5.3 in it,.. the baby LS1. They say with a little spray they wake up. If somone has some nozzles I can borrow I'd hook up my nitrous kit for shits and giggles. I only have a carb plate,.. but I have a tray full of jets. I think the truck should be able to handle a 150 wet shot. The LS1 fbodies seem to do fine with that.
