Default Hood latch adjustment

I slipped the new Cobra RR hood on today just to take the car out for a drive to see if the car cools a little better with some airflow over the top of the engine. Plus, I figured, a white hood on my green Mustang should be good for another 10 or 15 hp. I had to enlarge the holes in the hinges that the studs go though. The hood gaps are nice and even at the back of the hood. As I lower the hood, the gaps look like they should remain even, but the latch pushes the hood about 3/8" to the drivers side. I end up with no gap on the drivers side and a 3/4" gap on the passenger side. The latch is forcing the hood over.

Is the latch adjustable to the left and right? I loosened the two 8mm bolts holding the latch assembly in place, but there are two locator pins that prevent left/right movement. Any suggestions?
