Unless you do fabrication work to put hydro components into the car then even when you convert your still going to have a cable. Its just a series of linkages and levers that push the hydro shift fork and use your stock cable. I have a y8 and the matching tranny in my car and I freaking LOVE it. Sure hydro is a tiny bit easier to push but grow some balls lol, this works. I've heard the b series kits have some flex in them but that may be the older stuff. Mine has no less play or flex than the regular cable setup. I even upgraded my clutch and felt almost no increase in pedal feel.
