to answer your question before this thread gets the lock, b18c1 has a torque advantage over the b16. ie: little more displacement, little more torque. 128lb-ft. on the B18C1, 111lb-ft on the b16.
in addition to this it also is a vtec block... it is made to be reved to hell and back... it will hold up better without having to mod the hell out of it... honda did it for you... also the c1 block has oli passages so you will not have to run an external oil line like with the b20,b18a/b blocks... and one last thing... oil squirters in the block will improve the live of the block... i think that should help you make a desicion that is right for you...
