Pay now or pay later. If you plan to spin over 6k I would invest in the rods and a crank. You can still make good power below 6,.. but at the power level your aiming for and even at say 6500 rpm,.. thats a good bit of stress. I think it would hold for a long while. But eventually you would see a failure. Its like pushing a mod motor to 450hp. Sure it might stay together for almost a year,.. but how much damage is it going to cost you when it goes?
