I fail to see what the beef was to begin with. Both parties involved agreed to the start point and finish point before the race was run. That makes the actual distance in feet irelevant. If I say hay lets race to the top of the hill and you agree it doesn't matter if the top of the hill is 1320 feet away or 2 miles away because that was the point we agreed to race to and the one who gets there first is the winner.

if 1320 is that big of a deal then he should be bring his own certified measuring wheel. (i have seen it done) before the race
