OK so Im officially in the import scene. I picked up a 99 Si with 14000 miles (

) a week ago. So as soon as I picked her up the thoughts of mods started flowing through my head. So I was under the assumption that CAI was a pretty simple deal but GSR_Haxor was speaking of removing the bumper etc. hmm... That makes me wonder. Whats the extent of that and I took a look at the Short Ram ones by AEM and I dont see how that would be very involved at all. any help would be appreciated.
Second question. So I wanna lower the car a little bit (1.5 maybe) so I start looking at coilovers. These are kinda confusing to me as well. I know that some of them arent REALLY coilovers. And from the looks of it those fake ones are the ones I could afford. I had always thought of Skunk2 as a decent brand name but Ive heard nothing but bad reviews of their stuff. So what setup would be appropriate. Its a daily driver and wont see a whole lot of track action. mainly the daily commute and a little cruising on the weekends. I would like the adjustability but am alittle wary of the bouncy ride that I keep hearing about. I hear its solved by pairing the coilovers with aftermarkets like Konis. Also how difficult of an install is it. Ive always worked on domestics but I cant see how it would be a big change suspension wise. Anything Im overlooking? Again experience and advice is greatly appreciated.
Third and final question. This is kind of a two parter. Supercharging.
So the JRSC looks pretty neat. But I have to wonder about my nice new Honda warranty. What does a supercharger do for a warranty. I would imagine as soon as you install the sc you might as well burn the warranty. Anyone have exp with that? And how about reliability. anyone have a supercharged b-series that has run reliably for years? I dont wanna ruin my car for a couple dozen hp.
Well thats it. Overall Im smitten with this car and love the thoughts of making even better. But Im pretty ignorant about it and need to be confident Im making reasonable choices with what Im doing to her. Thanks alot and Im chompin at the bit for the responses to this!!!
