My advice,dont listen to this guy.

There's nothing wrong with buying a car that's already fast,but if it's modded,you have no idea as to what the history of the car is,and what issues it already has,oh and built>bought.

A good working vtec head will cost you anywhere from 300-700 bucks,the conversion kit is 280 from golden eagle(Honda/Acura Vtec Full Conversion Kit, W/ 84MM Gasket [Honda/Acura] : Golden Eagle Manufacturing).
Then you'll need a chipped ECU and a tune to make the most of the setup,which is another 300-400 bucks.

I don't know where spartan got the idea that it costs 2 grand to put a vtec head on an ls/b20 block.
