Check your fuseable links by the fusebox on the passenger side in the engine bay. If they have a bad connection this same problem will happen. It happened to me in my 95' nissan pickup as I was going over the skyway... Not a fun experience, but I knew immediately what it was. Wiggle them, then try to start the car or vice versa... If it cuts out, new links are in order.
