I can buy a slightly used Paxton NOVI 2000 (capable of 26-28 lbs of boost) for about $2200 including extras (what I sold mine for), I can buy a vortech S-trim setup for $1800 or so (slightly used), or I can put together a JY turbo setup for about $2000 or so...

And for $3000 you can pick up a Cartech Street Sleeper with a T64.
Once you experienced a turbocharged V8, you will want one.
Of course, mine is a poor example, but hey, I keep trying.
