depends on the verbage. you were referencing cylinder temps though and in terms of making power it adds heat...for an example, you could run an alcohol mister, which would cool the intake charge, and allow you raise the boost, while giving you a much larger buffer zone for error. each allow for more power to be made, but one adds fuel to the fire, and the other adds oxygen
as for the higher cylinder temps, needing more nitrous, im not saying im an expert by any means, but that doesnt sound right. I would think the need for more nitrous to achieve a certain # compared to some other lower compression car needing less to have an equal gain would come down to the efficiency of the motor.
