There is a reason I treat turning wrenches as my back up profession.

It saves me from having to earn less than $17 an hour, but I have become too dependent on needing over $25 an hour to be comfortable.

While there are a handful of mechanical jobs out there I would concider working at out there, doing general repair and maintenance work in a non air conditioned shop is not easy, clean or anything that will make you rich.

At the same time you will never have a hard time finding work if you are good and have experience either.
