The 240sx isn't classified as a sports coupe but as a minicompact car so insurance isnt so bad.
It's more about how many accidents, thefts and claims have been put on those cars than whether it's a sports car.
I can get lower insurance on an 09 Corvette than my Legacy because there are far less claims being put on Corvettes because mainly old people drive them and they are driven far less.
