A little update..... I have been having an issue with the carb I put together, it has an initial stumble I can not get rid of...... It appears to be because the annular boosters in the new Proform body are much to agressive for the stock motor that is in the car..... With the carb hat off and I try to rev the throttle it stumbles even with the secondaries disconnected, when it gets to about 1/4 throttle the boosters look like 2 little buckets just dumping fuel and the motor boggs(I even tried this with a power valve plug and it was no better)..... I think they would work OK with a bigger motor.....
Then someone I know loaned me a BG Demon 750 blow Thru carb he had laying around, and it has redicolus throttle respnose now..... The only problem with it is it's extremely lean at full throttle(it has 72 and 80 jets in it right now and I have no idea what size the pvcr's are, but I will the beginning of the week)..... So I am going to tweak this thing a little and see how it works out..... I don't really like the Demon carbs too much but if it works, it works..... I am thinking about just calling CSU and ordering a custom built one for my application, we will see what happens first.....
I also got the new hood, so I gotta get it on the car and lined up too..... Needless to say it's almost ready to go out and play.....
