Coolant sealers will only fix small low pressure leaks.

Cracked cylinders and blown head gaskets do not qualify as such but if you are losing water from the jacket to the outside of the motor it may work.

Its a couple bucks for some alumaseal. What could it hurt?

BTW - My escort had a small coolant leak when I bought it that was fixed right up with the stuff.
