So, then it may work, assuming I still have compression in the 2 cylinders? When I tested it last, I didn't write them down, but I noticed lower compression in #1; the shop I took it to did a test and showed low compression in #1 and #2. I can check it again myself, to see if there is any in those cylinders anymore.
If I do this, and it works, how long might it last? I know, anything's possible, an hour, month, 20 years...but any expectations? Should I consider it temporary until I can get more time to change the head gasket?
Basically I don't want a temporary fix that will end up invariably ruining the engine in the long run. I need to replace the exhaust manifold gasket anyhow.
My Tempo is acting up, and I'm tired of dumping money into it. Nobody would give me 1/4 of what I've put into it in just a year. I think I'm gonna buy another stick, and my girlfriend will just have to get used to it!
