Hooooray, less gas mileage, worse driveability, a big hole in the hood, for what +10 HP, peak, sure if you are building a friday night toy, fine, be cheap, throw in a gen 3 with a carb, into some cheap thirdgen, or foxbody chassis, and have fun.

For those of us building a daily driver with a little "pep"

I thinks not.

Its not a Necessity if it could have been avoided, which it easily is by staying EFI.
less gas mileage...so...instead of 27mpg on the hwy, were talking 22-23, horrific loss i know..

worse driveability? seriously? have you driven a carbed LSx based motor?

and again with the big hole in the hood...you act like there are no aftermarket hoods or cowls available, or intakes to keep the overall height down to use a stock hood...

and the new manifold selection really helps out when decent power is being made. big single planes that can flow the air while keeping the velocity where a typical LS1/6 intake will become restrictive and not have the appropriate runner lengths to be completely useful. so yea, when im looking for 10+ hp here, another 25+ hp there, i guess i just become a perfectionist.
it'd be nice if you people actually did some research before you just toss out biased opinions and pretend you know what you're talking about
