The road is just too narrow, you get to go offroading into the cushioning overgrown grass and shit ... if you survive the ride through the drainage ditches and miss any 'hard' objects. running off anywhere should not even be let in your head as an option. raul went off at jennings where its so called safe and didn't fair well at all. I always try to force myself to crash right there in the corner if I make a mistake than 20yard off into the grass. I feel its saved my ass a lot of times. since the bike will deff do more than you expect it.
