4.6 has a longer stroke then a 5.0.
Its the dinky pistons and bore center that holds them back.
I like them both,.. but have to give the 4.6 credit where credit is due.
for 281ci vs 302ci,.. the 4.6 more then makes up its lack of cubes with greater efficiency. PI, 3v and 4v heads far surpass the dorky E7's any day of the week,.. even ported E7's. This is bone stock vs bone stock. Not taking any aftermarket into account here other then bolt ons.
