Dont rely on any car to mark off the distance. Use something accurate. I have heard of two more measurings today that said it was very close to the 1320 feet. Until the actual measurement is confirmed...and accurate...this is all a moot point. A cars osometer that reads in digital tenths is not accurate enough.
The two cars were accurate enough to prove the fact that the distance is long by a considerable amount. With your background, I'm sure you would grasp the concept. I guarentee whoever else measured rode to the sign and saw that it was still on .2 and assumed it was .25 and didn't see it hit .3 til a little bit after.
