It's been a long time since I've posted on TR but I posted this on TF and thought it was relevant here. Here it goes...

I thought I'd post some of these photos from my single day at the St Pete Grand Prix (Sat). It was my first time attending the races and I only had a general admission ticket + paddock pass. I didn't realize that humans could be so overly careful at racing event as evident by the 3 layers of fencing I had to shoot through. I guess I was naive enough to think I would only have to shoot through one. Two-three is a whole different story. Besides that small kink, it was a fucking blast!!! I found two spots which had the best chances for clear shots through only one fence. Turns #5 & 10, known as the Snickers Corner and the Acura Corner, respectively. At the snickers corner I was able to get a break every time the camera guy moved in a certain direction and much to my delight at the Acura Corner I had to crawl under the stadium seats to find an open media hole! That's where the majority of my shots were taken. I chose Saturday because of the AMLS, and I really wanted to see the C6R style vettes. Anyway, on to the pictures...
