Detonation is NOT also known as knock retard. Detonation is detonation. Period. Detonation may cause an ECU to retard timing, but don't confuse others here that they are the same. My EGT never spiked when I would detonate. So Im not sure what your talking about with that one. Im not one for SOTP tuning, even with an o2 and an EGT. Dyno a/f's or wideband in car is the ONLY way IMHO to tune a car reliably.
