Hello, I restored my headlights a few days ago on my 2000 Honda Insight, and I thought id share the out come!
Here are the tools i used,
400 grit wet sand paper
1000 grit wet sand paper
2000 grit wet sand paper
PlastX by Meguiar's
Applicator pad
Bucket of hot water
(Everything can be bought at Walmart)
Here is what the head lights looked like before anything.(the left one)
This is the right one after 400 grit.
This is after 1000 grit
This is after 2000 grit. It looks almost perfect right now
This is after PlastX, I used about two pea sizes on an applicator pad..
This is both of them after the wash.. Notice the blue in the headlights..
I could never see that before because of the fogging, but after restoring them, they glow blue when ever the sun hits em.
The bulbs how ever are not blue! They are PIAA plasma ion yellow.. I will update what they look like at night time.
