Performance wise the old school ZL1 427 has it for power. The modern Z06 has a better overall package of brakes\power\driveability\handling. But as far as styling in my opinion the best looking Corvette and for that matter best looking car ever period is the 1963 split window Corvette Coup.

hows this compare? those were never "production" cars, they were built to dominate the cobra.. end all be all... there was a car with a 4.88 rear gear that ran the 1320 in about 10.2 @ 132 i think?
im at a loss.. one guy, bought the press car, the car with the 4.88 gear.... it wound up here in florida as far as i know... gosh, i used to know all about vettes, im kinda down now... although a 58' red with white coves wouldnt be half bad either
not trying to insult you, but id have to say the Mako Shark is the coolest then, with the switch that can cover the license plate if necessary!
and, the fuel injected 327 in the 63' made at least 370 hp! sweet!
just be glad no one had any experience with the L48
