what do you mean by turbine? Are you trying to get one of those airless paint systems? If so I have never used one thus I cannot help you in determining what setup is best. if you want to go with a conventional setup than I can suggest you get an 80 gallon or better compressor that puts atleast 175 psi out and as much CFM as possible. If you are going to get a piston driven one make sure you get an oiled version. If you get a screw type than you can probably go alittle smaller on the gallons. As they put out alot more psi and cfm.

Now as far as paint gun selection. I just bought the new SATA jet HVLP 3000 paint gun. Its about 550-700 depending on where you get it and if its digital or not. Personally I would not get the digital one as the gauge will brake on you eventually. I think its just a waste of an extra hundred bucks.

This is a great gun that you can base and clear with to start but eventually you will want to get an assortment of guns for different tasks. Here is a list of what I am using for what.

SataJet 90 1.3 - 1.4 tip size (I have two tip sizes depending on what paint product I am using) -This gun I use for clear coat only.

SataJet NR2000 1.4 tip size -This gun I use for base coat, and sealer.

SataJet 3000 HVLP 1.3 tip size -This gun I use for base coat only. Preferrably high metallics and pearls only.

Devilbiss PRI 1.8 tip size - Primer and custom paint applications of giant flake paints.

SataJet minijet 0.8 tip size -Jamb gun.

There are many more that you can get and a couple of different guns that I will be acquiring in the coming months that are great for said applications but you have to decide which gun you are most comfortable using for what application.

Hope I was helpful.
