On the way home from the gym last night, a black Lightning kept revving on me. His exhaust didn't sound right, either... kinda like maybe he cut the muffler out or maybe had a cutout with a loose cover. Anyways, he kept revving and bouncing every chance he got. There was no room at the track, so I just looked over and smiled. A few minutes later, what do you know... we got a good 1/8th to 1/4 mile opening, and he decided to get a running start at it... so I waited until he was about 2 bumpers out on me before I hit it. I put almost 2 cars on him by the end of second, kept pulling away in 3rd, but I backed off and hit the brakes, due to the finish line that is white with blue stripes and lights that we were quickly coming up on.
We didn't get a chance for a rematch, due to too many spectators and participants on the track. But he was from around here, and there can't be that many black Lightnings with shitty sounding exhaust with tinted windows and a Bucs plate. Oh, and the blower was loud as hell on that thing!
