Default Rad's not worth the time

Had an unsatisfying experience dealing with this Rad's guy.

Tried to get him to tell me his prices for installing tires I purchased on the net.

He starts by wanting to know what kind of tires I bought. Why on earth would that make a difference?

Then he gives me a price, but says "if nothing's in the way of the tire."

How am I supposed to know whether he would determine if something was in the way of the tire?

I give him the year, make and model of my bike, and ask him to tell me straight up what he would charge to put my tires on my bike. He starts repeating himself with this "if nothing's in the way of the tire" nonsense.

I ask him if he cannot tell me (from a book, his own knowledge, whatever) whether he would consider something to be "in the the way of the tire." He tells me I can take my business elsewhere.

And guess what? I will. No one should try to do business with a dishonest or deceptive merchant.
