I doubt it... I've had ex cops tell me storys wayyy worse than this. where cops would just outright kill people while off duty. get out of it because they were cops but get fired. then wait a few months, move to either another county or another state if needed. and get hired back all over again. since they kept everything offical off their record.
he will be back somewhere. a good lawyer will get this knocked down to carless driving. he will quit and then get rehired someplace else.
remember the cops that beat up the guy in the wheel chair on video tape? that much worse than this and yeah, don't hear about that anymore do you. I bet they are back on the job somewhere.
