For the $2009 Challenge I've been building a '65 Mustang Fastback. (The world's rustiest Mustang that I've nicknamed, "FrankenStang".) A tree fell on the '85 Merkur I used to run, so I'm thinking a 2.3 turbo swap. Only about 235 hp because of the low budget, but the car should come it at about 2,200 lbs.
I have an aluminum head on the shelf for after the competition. That should put me more in the 330-350 range.
