thats not entirely true....

watch the video, the numbers on the outside of the track that count down 3...2...1 are your brake markers, the dots on the outside/inside of the track are there to help the novice riders find the race line- basically connect the dots and you will be safe on your first few trackdays, the dots are not 100% accurate and the line changes slightly as you get faster / depends on bike. if you were on the track, you would draw an imaginary line from dot to dot, ride that imaginary line and it will help get you around the track the quickest, but more importanty, predictable to other riders around you
the apex is marked by the stripped marking on the inside corners. (red/white)

each corner is numbered and just happens that number is beside the dot...

disclaimer: I sell used tires (take-offs), these tires have been used at Jennings, Homestead, etc. (road courses for those that dont know) therefor these tires are more used up on the sides than in the middle,
