in 97 they changed the body style of the f150. They had the f250 and f350 that had the same body style as the 96 truck until 99. Also the 7700 was a new style f150 with 250 suspension and a 7 bolt lug pattern. if i not mistaken they kept the 5.0 and 5.7 in the superduty until they changed to the current model. but yes, they had the 4.2 pushrod v6 (good engine ) and the modular 4.6 and 5.4. i think that about sums it up. and f150world is the best ford truck site out there.
