Ok, I HAVE done my taxes. The rebate checks had NO EFFECT on my taxes at all.

If you read above, it says that it won't. In fact, it says that "The credit is essentially free money".

Try Tax Act before you finish filing. We did both. On turbo tax, we were only getting back like $3000, but on Tax Act, we got back over $7000.
