If it was the starter, it wouldn't crank at all...

Pull your wires one at a time and stick at screwdriver in it and look for a spark as you crank the ignition, if you have spark its not the ignition...

If its just cranking and not starting with positive spark, check your fuel pump...

Put the key on ON and open up the fuel feed bolt by the filter, look for fuel to come out...If it doesn't, add a gallon of gas and check again...

If it still doesn't, drop the tank and check the fuel pump and its connection...

If its not the pump and its connections, check to see if your timing belt is tight and is set at the right alignment...

If that doesn't help it, check your ECU for a tight connection or a bad ECU...

the starter is good.

cant check for spark if the engine doesnt turn over at all.

its not the fuel pump.

ecu is fine.

i told the exact symptoms a few posts back . it does not crank at all.
